Work Ethic.

by
Dean Gotcher

Get in. Get the job done. Get out. Do it right so you do not have to do it again. "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;" Colossians 3:2

Today's work ethic is "Make me feel good and I will work," following after Georg Hegel's, dialectic ethic: "When a man has finally reached the point where he does not think he knows it better than others, that is when he has become indifferent to what they have done badly and he is interested only in what they have done right, then peace and affirmation have come to him." (G. F. W. Hegel, in one of the casual notes preserved at Widener) Run a business like this and you will go into debt (like our nation).

The greatest obstacle to overcome in the "new" world order work force is the "do right and not wrong" attitude of the believer, holding others (and himself) accountable for their thoughts and actions, i.e., holding them accountable to a standard higher than their carnal desires of the 'moment.' As the Marxist, Max Horkheimer in his book Reasoning and Self Preservation wrote: "Protestantism was the strongest force in the extension of cold rational individualism." (Max Horkheimer, Vernunft and Selbsterhaltung) It is why "team building," "building relationship on self interest," the dialoguing of opinions to a consensus process, i.e., the soviet (brainwashing, i.e., washing from the brain the father's/Father's authority) system, etc., has come into the workplace, negating the "do right and not wrong," "old" world order way of the father's/Father's authority, 'liberating' the worker from Godly restraint, so he can do wrong without having a guilty conscience, i.e., so that he can sin with impunity.

Capitalism rewards good work, socialism bad. It all starts in the home with parent's either holding their children accountable to their authority or abdicating their God given authority to the "group grade," dialoguing of opinions to a consensus (soviet) classroom, fulfilling Lenin's dream for the workplace. The latter is what is now taking place in America.
